White: I believe Diaz doesn’t enjoy fighting
Dana White: “[Nick Diaz] might not enjoy it, but that’s what he does and that’s how makes a living. Not everyone is going to love what they do.”
Dana White and Nick Diaz have never seen eye to eye. Diaz set out a year demanding more money, but eventually came to terms with the UFC. Why sit out and wait to get paid? White believes that although Diaz is good at fighting, he doesn’t necessarily enjoy it, but it’s what he’s best at and can get paid for:

I believe that he doesn’t enjoy fighting. When you hear him talk about what he does and why he does it – everything that guys says is the reason he is who is who is. The way he fights, his demeanor, all make him Nick Diaz.
A lot of people don’t like going to work, but you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. He might not enjoy it, but that’s what he does and that’s how makes a living. Not everyone is going to love what they do.
