For those that have been there, Venice Beach is a very interesting piece of shoreline in California on the Pacific Ocean. It’s circus-like ocean front walk is full of performers, artists, vendors, and an eclectic group of residents. UFC champion Ronda Rousey now calls Venice Beach home and was recently surprised to see a mural of herself commissioned by UFC President Dana White and owner Lorenzo Fertitta:

In honor of all her accomplishments – and, we would imagine, to hype her November 14 fight with Holly Holm at UFC 193 – UFC’s Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta recently commissioned a painting of Rousey in her hometown of Venice, California. And on Friday, they unveiled it to the champ (and her dog, Mochi).

BTW, the fact that it’s located directly above a giant “Green Doctors” storefront (“$40 Medical Marijuana Evaluation!”) is the most Venice Beach thing of all time.

The mural was painted by the Brazilian artists known as Bicicleta Sem Freio – who apparently didn’t have a problem with her knocking out their countrywoman, Bethe Correia, in 34 seconds – and is meant to “explore and interpret her power as a fighter and also her awesomeness as a young woman.”
