White: Cris Cyborg going to try to make 135
Dana White: “For her next fight, she’s going to try to make 135 pounds. If she successfully makes that weight and wins, then she can come in and fight Ronda.”
UFC president Dana White recently appeared on Toronto’s Toronto’s CP24, confirmed that Cris Cyborg is signed with the UFC even as she competes for Invicta, and said the fighter is committed to trying to make the 135 weight limit. If that is successful, a title shot with Ronda Rousey can be made.
For her next fight, she’s going to try to make 135 pounds, said White. If she successfully makes that weight and wins, then yeah, she can come in and fight Ronda.
Justino is scheduled to fight at Invicta FC 13 on July 10. It is not yet known if that fight will take place at featherweight or if White remarks about dropping to bantamweight are about the fight following the one in July.
