White: Barao will not get title shot upon return

Renan Barao was scheduled to get his rematch with TJ Dillashaw this weekend at UFC 177 before withdrawing due to complications from weight cutting. So Barao will not get his rematch and will now have to earn it with another fight when he returns:
UFC President Dana White told MMAjunkie that Barao will not keep his place in the line of UFC bantamweight contenders, and the former champ will have to fight again to earn another crack at the belt he once held.
This was his shot, White said. He was getting his rematch. Now Dillashaw is going to fight tomorrow night. If he wins, he moves on to the next guy, and Barao will fight somebody else when he’s ready to come back.
