The greatest fighter in UFC history, middleweight Anderson Silva, recently took the league to task over a perceived lack of respect.

I haven’t even received a ‘thank you’ from Dana or Lorenzo after the last fight, said Silva in a recent interview with Brazil’s UOL Desportes. I was very disappointed with the lack of respect that the UFC has been treating the Brazilian athletes with. I’m an athlete who took the sport to another level. I don’t get, or have got people’s due respect. This has made me very upset, sad, and disappointed with the UFC.

The Spider’s general remarks are likely a reference to the ongoing dispute between featherweight great Jose Aldo and the UFC.

However, UFC president Dana White appeared recently on FS1’s Whitlock 1-on-1, and emphatically challenged the complaints.

“Let me tell you what, there’s probably some guys that could come out and say they felt like they’ve been mistreated,” conceded White, before getting blunt. “Anderson Silva is not one of them. Okay? That is a guy who has been far from mistreated. FAR from mistreated.

“No case.”

Silva is 0-4 his last five fights, with one No Contest for a decision win over Nick Diaz that was overturned when he tested positive for drostanolone and androsterone. Silva’s last win was four years ago, when he stopped a faded Stephan Bonnar at UFC 153. However, in a testament to his greatness, Silva is still ranked #6 in the middleweight division, and is still the greatest fighter ever in UFC history.
