Back in December UFC President Dana White told the media that he had signed a new ten bout contract extension with UFC champion Anderson Silva. Shortly after long time manager Ed Soares refuted the story, citing the deal hadn’t been finalized.
During a Q&A yesterday, White expressed that he now thought the deal was done:

While the UFC president hedged slightly by saying “as far as I know,” he said Silva’s new contract is for 10 fights. He didn’t say whether the deal had an expiration date.
“I haven’t talked to Anderson in about a month, but as far as I know, it’s done,” White said during a fan Q&A sponsored by the UFC’s official wireless partner, MetroPCS
Silva’s longtime manager, Ed Soares, declined comment to MMAjunkie.com.
At 38 years old and having defended his UFC title a record ten times, it is likely that this contract extension will bring the middleweight champion to the end of his career.
