Each time I post someone ask about the show; if its returning, what the ratings were, etc.
I decided to answer all your questions here:
WILL THERE BE ANOTHER SEASON?
-No the show will not be back. “Officially” we did 2 seasons (8 episodes each), but it was really one long one… explanation later.
WERE THE RATING ACCEPTABLE?
-It debuted as the highest rated show for the channel and continued to grow from the next 4 weeks. The show was still the 2nd highest rated show when it was yanked.
WHY DID IT GET CANCELED, I LOVED THAT SHOW?
– The production company blames the History Channel, the History Channel blames the production company. The production company couldn’t get the rough cuts to the Network in time for them to make edits , send it back, have them correct it and return the “fine ” cut to History for airing. If you watched the show, you notice we would say that there was a NEW episode next week, but often run a repeat, due to this fact.
DO YOU STILL TALK TO BILL?
– Yes, on occasion. He now is a manager at an LA boxing gym in Jersey and loves it.
WHICH ART DID YOU LIKE THE MOST?
-MMA…duh. :)But Krav Maga had some really applicable tactics and moves.
HOW MANY EPISODES DID YOU DO?
– We did 16 shows (one of which was a high-lite). It was originally slated for 13 but the production company wasnt getting the tapes to Network fast enough, so instead of consistently missing shows, they took a 3 week hiatus and said “Here comes season 2!
DID YOU RUN OUT OF MARTIAL ARTS?
-Nope. Even after our last day of shooting we had 24 more episodes in prep. We found 40 or so Martial arts to cover. Everything from BJJ (the one thing I cant believe we missed-although I take full credit in getting an MMA episode)to Mongolian Wrestling. The plan was to start doing military martial arts then CIA, FBI etc if we ran out. We felt we had at least 24 more episodes ready to go.
