Werdum: Mike Tyson almost broke my nose
Fabricio Werdum: “It almost knocked down me, but it’s good. I feel good because it’s Mike Tyson, no other guy.”

Kickboxer: Retaliation is the seventh film in the Kickboxer franchise, and has the greatest cast in MMA history. Babalu, Renzo, Shogun, and Frankie Edgar play themselves. Roy Nelson plays someone called Big Country, Wanderlei Silva was saddled with the awful name Chud, and Rico Verhoeven gets the less awful name Moss. The Mountain plays some huge guy; he’s not technically in MMA, but McGregor did punch him at SBG. And then there was Mike Tyson as Briggs and Fabricio Werdum as Fabricio.
Fabricio spoke recently with TMZ and said Tyson almost broke his nose.
“I make a lot of movies too,” began Werdum. “I made the Kickboxer movie with Mike Tyson. I saw Mike Tyson all the time on TV, and now I fight with him in the kickboxer movie – Kickboxer: Hetaliation!
It’s amazing. Mike Tyson punched my nose too. An accident, but he punched me and almost he broke my nose, chuckled Werdum, thus becoming the only person ever to laugh about that prospect. Because I’m no actor. He’s no actor too. But he’s good, he’s funny guy, he’s very nice guy. But he punch very hard.
It almost knocked down me, but it’s good. I feel good because it’s Mike Tyson, no other guy. Maybe another guy, I don’t feel good when another guy punch my face. But Mike Tyson’s OK.
The laughing Werdum was then asked if he thought about hitting Tyson back.
No, no, no, replied Werdum amiably. Maybe I take down him.
“He’s 50 years old I think, but he’s punch very hard. He’s a tough guy yet.”
