UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman suffered a rib injury and has been forced out of his title defense vs. Vitor Belfort at UFC 185 on Feb 28.

Weidman and Belfort were slated to fight at UFC 181 on Dec. 6, but Weidman suffered a hand injury and the fight was pushed off. Now of course it is off entirely.

White said that Vitor may still fight on the card, although it would not be a title fight.

It has been a crazy week,” acknowledged White. “Vitor isn’t off the card yet. I’m still working on options.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano will move into the main event slot. Holly Holm vs. Raquel Pennington has moved into the co-main. This will be the first UFC where both the main event and the co-main are both female fighters.
