Weidman pissed off at ‘juicehead’ Belfort
Chris Weidman: “I mean, he’s a two-time convicted juicehead at this point, and he’s not realizing that. I understand that he hasn’t fought in a long time, but that’s his fault.”

UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman was supposed ot defend his title vs. Vitor Belfort at planned for UFC 173 nearly a full year ago. However, after TRT was banned, Belfort said he needed time to adjust. Further, Belfort had failed a test for elevated testosterone.
Then Weidman broke his hand and the fight was moved from UFC 181 to 184 on Feb. 28. And now Weidman has suffered separated ribs, one of the most painful injuries in the sport. If you have them, you avoid watching anything funny, as laughing is torture. You try to avoid breathing. So Weidman had to pull out.
The UFC then offered Belfort a fight with Machida, for the Interim Middleweight belt. They also offered Belfort a fight with Gegard Mousasi. Belfort declined both. He wants a fight for the full belt, not the Interim belt, or nothing at all.
UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman appeared recently on Ariel Helwani‘s The MMA Hour and said he was ‘pissed off’ at ‘juicehead’ Vitor Belfort, and bristled at the implication that an alternate fight should be for a full belt, rather than an Interim one.
First of all, Vitor, he failed a drug test, said Weidman as transcribed by Brent Brookhouse for MMAjunkie. That’s his second drug test that he failed. Usually he’d be out for at least a year, but I think they tested him when there was no bout agreement, so they couldn’t really punish him the way they wanted to. He wasn’t licensed. So the guy’s lucky as anything that he’s not in trouble.
I mean, he’s a two-time convicted juicehead at this point, and he’s not realizing that. I understand that he hasn’t fought in a long time, but that’s his fault. I fought. I fought in July. That’s six months ago, against Machida.
So now we wait.
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey vs Cat Zingano will now headline UFC 184.
