Weidman: I would beat Bisping in two minutes
Chris Weidman: “That poor guy. It would just be such an easy fight. I don’t think I’d even have to get in shape for it. I hope to God that he somehow gets his way to the top.”
Following his hard fought win over Thales Leites at UFC Fight Night 72, middleweight Michael Bisping called for a rematch with “cheating scumbag motherf—–s” Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson. With a win there, he wants a shot at the title.
UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman responded on Tuesday during a Fan Q&A.
“I’ve got a couple tough guys, for sure,” said Weidman as transcribed by David St. Martin for MMAFighting.com. “Luke Rockhold’s a tough guy. Jacare’s a tough guy. Yoel Romero’s a scary guy. Scary looking guy. Bisping is a joke.”
“I would love for him to fight for the title because I’d literally beat him sleepwalking. I think I could beat him while I’m sleepwalking. He has no punching power so I can literally fall asleep while he’s punching me, just get a hold of him and throw him on the floor. If he doesn’t get knocked out when he falls on the floor I’ll just submit him.
“I could submit him with my eyes closed. 100 percent. That’s not even me talking any junk. That’s just me being honest.”

“I just don’t have full confidence that he could get to the top. Boring decision. Boring decision. If he fights a guy like Romero he’d really have to get lucky to win that fight.”
Weidman next fights Luke Rockhold. Belfort has said he will take a fight with Bisping. ‘The Count’ had ten fights in 18 months, before entering the UFC in 2005. In the decade since he has 24 fights, and is on a two fight win streak. Should Bisping emerge victorious in a rematch, that would make it a three-fight streak, and it would be awesome to see Michael Bisping get title shot at long last.
