UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman has faced a torrent of questions leading up to Saturday’s rematch with Anderson Silva, including how he feels about their first fight.
I’m not a big fan of the first fight because I don’t think I looked that good, to be honest with you,” said Weidman as transcribed by MMAJunkie. I know I can be a lot better.
I was coming off that year layoff, had two surgeries, so I felt a little rusty in there. There are some things I didn’t do. I’m very critical of myself, so there are a lot of things I assume I could have done differently.
Some of the questions I hear often are, ‘What do I think Anderson Silva’s going to do in this fight?’ ‘Do I think Anderson Silva is going to be playing around in this fight?’ ‘What do I expect from him?’ I don’t expect anything. I don’t really care, I’m just going in there to fight my fight, so when people ask me those questions, it’s the first time I really think about it. I don’t think about what he’s going to be doing.
What do you think UG? How do you think “The Spider” is going to come out? And do you think it is going to work?
