Bellator bantamweight champion Joe Warren appeared recently on MMAjunkie Radio, ahead of his rematch with Marcos Galvao on Friday at Bellator 135. Their first fight, which took place early in 2012, was a unanimous decision win for Warren, although most media outlets scored it for the Brazilian.

I won the fight, unanimous decision, said Warren as transcribed by Brent Brookhouse for MMAjunkie. You know, judges are judges. That being said, it was four years ago. You know me – I’ve only been fighting for five. I’m a completely different fighter. I’m actually a fighter now; I’m not just a wrestler. I’m excited. I’m a champion again. I believe my muscle memory is where it needs to be. I’m technically sound, and I’m good at all these positions. I’m excited to actually get out there and perform. It’s just time to get out there and excite myself and see if I can make myself happy out there.

I’m not someone that watches tape. I don’t really care what the hell the other guy is going to do. As long as I stay focused on my offensive game plan and move forward and fight Joe Warren’s style, then I’m unstoppable. When you try to slow down and fight someone else’s style is when you get in trouble. Our sport is very violent and very unpredictable. So, if you’re not going first and you’re not focused on moving forward and doing what you need to win, anything can happen out there.

It’s exciting to just get in there and fight again. He’s just a body that they put in front of me to beat the s— out of. I don’t care who it is, but I’m excited to get another finish here in the Bellator cage.”
