Two huge fights have been confirmed for KSW’s debut show in the Czech Republic. KSW 79 will take place at the Home Credit Arena in Liberec on February 25.
The Czech Republic’s very own Viktor Pesta (18-8) will make his KSW debut against Poland’s Daniel Omielanczuk (26-13-1) in the co-main event of the evening.
Pesta comes into KSW after stints in both the UFC and PFL. The 32-year-old steps back into the heavyweight division and is excited by the opportunity.
“This is the beginning of a new era for me, and I’m excited to get back into the heavyweight division and facing some of the toughest competition in the world in KSW,” said Pesta.
Also announced for KSW 79 is a heavyweight collision between two of Europe’s elite level strikers. Former GLORY kickboxing heavyweights Arek Wrzosek (1-0) and Tomas Mozny (1-1), who fought already in kickboxing, now continue their rivalry in the MMA arena.
Wrzosek, a training partner to Alistair Overeem, is aiming to continue his amazing run which saw him beat Badr Hari in GLORY and successfully make his KSW and MMA debut last year.
Mozny originally made his MMA debut back in 2011 but has since rose to prominence in the international kickboxing scene with fights against Jahfarr Wilnis, Daniel Skvor, and a 2019 “Fight of the Year” contest against Antonio Plazibat. The 31-year-old then made a successful return to MMA last year winning by KO in the main event of Real Fight Arena 4.
