At this past weekend’s UFC Fight Night 207, lightweight Joe Solecki scored a majority decision win over a gritty Alex da Silva.

Key in the result was a point deduction in the second round, when Solecki (12-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) was looking to finish the fight with a rear-naked choke. MMA Underground’s John Morgan caught up with Solecki to get his thoughts on the infraction and the razor-thin result, while also looking forward to the future.

Solecki, a grappling enthusiast, is actively seeking an opportunity to book a match while waits for his next UFC booking – and he makes a case for why a potential pairing with Paddy Pimblett could make sense, given “The Baddy” gets by Jordan Leavitt in their upcoming clash.

Solecki also gives some updates on his personal life, as well as revealing that he suffered a bit of an injury in his most recent outing. Check out the full interview in the video above.
