Venator 3 did not go as expected for some

Venator 3 in Milan, Italy on Saturday night had some unexpected finishes.

And the weigh in had it’s moments too 😉

Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller was 24 pounds over, was removed from the title fight, got a new opponent, and lost in the second. He hadn’t fought since May 26, 2012?, in the UFC. 

Rousimar Palhares, who has moved through a series of events, being released for rule breaking, was knocked out in 45 seconds by Emil ‘Valhalla’ Weber Meek. The aptly nicknamed albeit not aptly surnamed Meek then had an awesome in cage celebration.

In more expected news, Luke Barnatt won the title, Sokoudjou beat Mat Hammill who at age 40 falls to 1-5 his last 6, and Cody McKenzie won via McKenzietine, breaking a five fight losing streak.

Mattia Schiavolin beat Jason Mayhem Miller via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:10 of Round 2

Karl Amoussou beat Giovanni Melillo via TKO (strikes) at 4:51 of Round 1
