Cain Velasquez will only watch the footage of his loss to Werdum when it’s time for fight camp. He explains why below.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titleholder Cain Velasquez still hasn’t watched the replay of his submission loss to Fabricio Werdum in the main event of the UFC 188 pay-per-view (PPV) back in June.

If you haven’t either, see it here.

Not because he can’t bear to witness the title change hands, but rather because it won’t do him any good, seeing as how he’s not yet in training camp.

That time will come.

“I haven’t watched it yet,” Velasquez told Ariel Helwani. “When I get closer to the fight time, before my camp, I like to watch ’em all. Watch film on him, watch past film of myself. Me and Javier Mendez, we both do it together.”

As for the rematch?

Velasquez has no problem facing “Vai Cavalo” in Brazil, if the promotion can iron out some of the logistical wrinkles. If not, expect their 265-pound do-over to happen at some point in early 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
