Uncle Creepy joins RIZIN bantamweight GP
Ian McCall has joined the RIZIN bantamweight Grand Prix as a wild card and will make his promotion debut at RIZIN FF 8 on December 29.

In barely over a year, flyweight Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall had four fights canceled in the UFC, and has not fought since January of 2015. The fighter’s contract is for 16/16, and he was unwilling to fight for that, so McCall was recently granted a release from the league. He also released his agent Jason House in order to self-manage. And he left longtime trainer Colin Oyama to work with Jason Parillo and Darryl Christian at RVCA in Orange County.
Now McCall has joined the RIZIN bantamweight Grand Prix as a wild card. Uncle Creepy will make his promotion debut at RIZIN FF 8 on December 29 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. If McCall wins there, he will fight again at RIZIN FF 8: World Grand Prix 2nd Round on December 31, with the semi-finals and finals taking place on one day. That’s three fights in 48 hours.
McCall’s quarterfinal fight on Dec. 29 will be vs. Manel Kape (7-1) from Portugal who is coming off a win vs. Erson Yamamoto at RIZIN 7 this weekend.
The announcement was made via the social network, with an aggressive fighter faceoff.
