UFC flyweight Justin Scoggins realized he was not going to make weight, and never stepped on the scale. His opponent, UG favorite Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall, went ahead and made weight.

When an opponent misses weight, in order to collect the show money, a fighter ordinarily has to weigh in. Further, McCall was game to fight if another feathweight fight on the card fell apart.

Now in a triple dose of justice, a UFC official has told Dann Stupp and John Morgan for MMAjunkie that McCall will received both his win money and his show money, and as well, Scoggins will be paid nothing.

Despite UFC 201 bout cancellation, Ian McCall gets fight purse and win bonus

McCall’s last fight was a loss, at 16/16, that is $16,000 to show and another $16,000 to win. Purses generally do not escalate on a loss, so McCall likely walked away without a fight, but with $32,000.

It’s weird that I feel bad for him, but this weight-cutting s*** is horrible for you. I’m just getting it done because I’m getting paid.
