UFN 95 staredowns: Cyborg is starved, depleted, and terrifying

Main event fighters Cris ‘Cyborg” Justino and Lina ‘Elbow Princess’ Lansberg just had the official media day staredown in Brasilia, Brazil.

Cyborg is in the middle of a terrible cut to 140, but still managed to look gigantic and terrifying. Lansberg, however, appeared unperturbed, and even to be enjoying the proceedings.

Still, the pair didn’t just look to be from different divsions, it looked like an outtake from Avatar 2.

The most beautiful pics from the media event ended up coming from an unlikely source – Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva and Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson.

“We’re friends, said Silva, to Brazil’s Combate, as transcribed by Lucas Rezende for BE. We spent 15 days in Romania shooting a movie. We became brothers because we spent so many hours together, on the same set, staying at the same hotel.

“Then he came to American Top Team, where we spent another month and a half together. I helped him with his Overeem fight. We have a very good relationship. The first message I got on my birthday was from my wife. The second one was from Roy Nelson.

“We have a good bond, we are professionals. If we could choose a different opponent, we would, but we have to do what the boss tells us. We will be together after the fight. We’ll hug it out and then we’ll kill about two cows, five chickens, and three lambs at the barbecue house.”

The respect and the bond showed during the faceoff.
