In an unusual moment, the Fight of the Night was on the UFC Fight Pass portion of the card. There was a performance bonus given for a fight from the FOX Sports 1 televised portion of the undercard, and one from the main card.

Before the fight, the Guam born Filipino Delos Reyes said he wanted to win FOTY.
Hopefully ‘Fight of the Night,’ he said. That would help me train full-time. I work full-time, and it’s hard to get ready when they call me. I wish I could train full-time and show my full potential training full-time like other people can.
