Roy Nelson

Said he didn’t execute anything he had worked on, that he’d save his ninja techniques for another time. With Struve’s height, it was tough to gauge because of his long arms. Nelson initially said that he’d like to see the long-rumored James Toney fight and that he is fine with beating up Youtube guys. Then, he said he really wants to fight the best in the world and it’s not a fight he’d want to see.

Jorge Rivera

Said the game plan to use a lot of fakes went exactly as they expected. He’s got a lot to improve on, but was happy and wants to push hard to be on the Boston event in August. On Boston. He understands the business he is in, which is entertainment.

Ross Pearson

Said that Siver is a truly tricky fighter, and mentioned the spinning back kicks as being tough. Cardio is a big strength of his, thanks to his conditioning coach who puts them through hell. He likes looking over and seeing his opponent looking for water and gulping for air, while he feels good. His 30k bonus may go toward a house as he still lives with his parents. But tonight, he was going to party.

Roy Nelson

Said he doesn’t hear a lot of hatred from fans, even after beating Slice, mostly just from the media. He really doesn’t care and as long as people are talking about him, that’s a good thing. On his body type, he said that Tank Abbott was a hero to everyone, but he just couldn’t fight.

Kenny Florian

“I’m real blessed to be able to fight for the UFC and have them keep giving me top level guys. That’s what I’m in the sport for, to see how far I can take it and keep improving.”

“Anything can happen out there but I just try to focus on what I can control and have fun and that’s what I did. I wanted to open (Gomi) up and keep him guessing. He was really low and I didn’t want to force anything out there, I just wanted it to flow and he got a little upright so I changed levels and took him down. I’ve been working a lot on my wrestling, especially the offensive side of it and it paid off.”

“I still got a long way to go and a lot of things to work on but I know the plan’s working, I’m getting better every day.”

Dana White did not appear at the post fight presser, even though he was at the event.
