UFC statement on Las Vegas shooting
“We are saddened by this senseless act of violence and offer heartfelt condolences to all those affected.”

The largest mass shooting in US history took place in Las Vegas today, with a reported 59 deaths and over 500 injuries. The UFC and to no small extent the sport of mixed martial arts are based in Las Vegas, and the league has reached out in various ways, not the least of which is contributing $1,000,000 to the victims.
The UFC also said current plans are to go forward with Saturday’s event.
Our focus right now is on supporting the community and those affected by Sunday evening’s events,” read a statement. “UFC 216 on Saturday, October 7 at T-Mobile Arena will proceed as scheduled until further notice.
In addition, the UFC has been using its estimable social network to encourage blood donation, potential witnesses to come forward, and other useful actions for a community in shock.

White offered more details in an interview with TMZ.
