UFC ratings report: Forrest Griffin loses bet and hair

A handful of times UFC president Dana White gave ceremonial jobs to top stars who needed to retire but wouldn’t. When WME-IMG bought the UFC, they did several rounds of layoffs, and two of those former champions, Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes, were released.

However, Forrest Griffin was kept on. When White gave him the job, Griffin showed up. There was no office for him – the position was ceremonial – but he kept showing up, and eventually went to work. Now Griffin brings his engaging personality to the latest ratings report.

There are some big changes in the ratings discussed by Griffin and UFC digital producer, writer, host of the UFC Rankings Report Matt Parrino. The pair discuss the rise of Amanda Nunes and the fall of Ronda Rousey, and the incredible win of the formerly #5 divisionally ranked Garbrandt over the formerly #2 ranked pound for pound fighter Dominick Cruz.

And Griffin makes good on a bet.
