After registering the biggest victory of her career to date, Mayra Bueno Silva was rewarded with a massive move up the women’s bantamweight rankings.

“Sheetara” scored an impressive second-round submission win over former champion Holly Holm at this past weekend’s UFC on ESPN 49 event, and in the latest official rankings update, she moves up an incredible seven positions and sits in the No. 3 contender spot.

Bueno Silva (11-2-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC) now trails only No. 1 contender Julianna Peña and No. 2 Raquel Pennington. Meanwhile, with the loss, Holm drops two positions and now sits at No. 5.

The UFC women’s bantamweight title remains vacant for now following the recent retirement of former champion Amanda Nunes.

As an additional reward, Bueno Silva also debuts at No. 14 on the women’s pound-for-pound list. With the setback, Holm – who previously held the No. 15 position – drops off the list.

Bueno Silva wasn’t the only fighter to make a move in the women’s bantamweight division following this past weekend’s event. Despite never actually competing in the promotion at 135 pounds, Norma Dumont (10-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) also moved up one position and now sits at No. 12 at women’s bantamweight following her one-sided decision win over Chelsea Chandler.
