Jon Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) is the UFC’s top pound-for-pound fighter once more.
Following his impressive submission win over Ciryl Gane (11-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) at this past weekend’s UFC 285 event, the latest official UFC rankings see “Bones” once again awarded the top pound-for-pound spot.
Inactive for more than three years, Jones had slid down to the No. 10 spot during his layoff but makes a massive move up to No. 1 in the most recent update.
Jones, of course, also takes the champion slot at heavyweight. However former champ Stipe MIocic is also rewarded with a slight move and no longer sits at No.2 but is now tied with Gane for No. 1.

Jones wasn’t the only athlete to receive a big bump in the pound-for-pound rankings. New women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso (16-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) debuts on the women’s pound-for-pound list at No. 1, standing only behind reigning doubte champ Amanda Nunes at No. 1 and just ahead of the women she beat, Valentina Shevchenko (23-4 MMA, 12-3 UFC), at No. 3.
