UFC rankings: Jan Blachowicz, Aleksandar Rakic stand firm in latest update
Check out the new look of the UFC’s official light heavyweight rankings following UFC on ESPN 36.

While this past weekend’s light heavyweight headliner between Jan Blachowicz and Aleksandar Rakic had the potential to make a big impact in the UFC’s 205-pound rankings, the result left both athletes in the same position they previously held.
After two tightly contested rounds at UFC on ESPN 36, a Rakic injury ended the fight early in the third, awarding Rakic a TKO win. With the latest rankings submission, Blachowicz (29-9 MMA, 12-6 UFC) remains in the No. 1 contender position, while Rakic (14-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) holds firm at No. 3.
The only movement at light heavyweight actually came courtesy of Ryan Spann (20-7 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who scored a first-round submission win over Ion Cutelaba (16-7-1 MMA, 5-6-1 UFC) and moved up one slot to No. 12.
