Jailton Almeida (19-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) is now officially a top-10 contender in the UFC’s heavyweight division.
Following his weekend victory over Jairzinho Rozenstruik (13-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC), the latest official rankings update sees Almeida awarded with a move up three positions and sliding past Marcin Tybura and Derrick Lewis into the No. 9 slot and opening up the possibility for an even bigger matchup moving forward.
Meanwhile, Rozenstruik drops three slots and now sits at the No. 12 spot previously held by Almeida.
