This past weekend’s UFC on ABC 5 event provided the biggest victory thus far for undefeated featherweight contender Ilia Topuria, who was rewarded with a sizable move up the 145-pound rankings in the latest official UFC update.
Topuria scored a one-sided decision win over Josh Emmett and was rewarded with a rise up four positions in the latest list, settling at No. 5 and lining himself up for some very big matchups moving forward. Meanwhile, Emmett slides just one position and now sits at No. 5.
In addition to Topuria’s rise, there was a small shuffle towards the lower end of the rankings, with former Topuria opponent Bryce Mitchell slipping one position to No. 12. Meanwhile, Sodiq Yusuff moves up one slot to No. 11.
