UFC rankings: Henry Cejudo returns to official bantamweight list in No. 3 slot
While he came up short in his bid to unseat Aljamain Sterling, Cejudo does return near the top of the division following his extensive layoff.

Henry Cejudo didn’t get his ultimate wish at this past weekend’s UFC 288 event, but “Triple C” did return to the promotion’s official 135-pound rankings in a favorable position.
Cejudo (16-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) dropped a split-decision result to reigning champ Aljamain Sterling (23-3 MMA, 15-3 UFC) in the headlining matchup of Saturday’s card in New Jersey, but after three years on the sidelines, the former two-division champ was given the No. 3 position in the bantamweight division in the promotion’s latest rankings update.
That leaves him only behind Sterlings’ teammate in the No. 1 slot, Merab Dvalishvili, as well as the man expected to challenge for the belt next, Sean O’Malley, who sits at No. 2.
