While Sean Strickland was victorious in UFC on ESPN 47’s main event, his position in the UFC’s official rankings remained unchanged in the middleweight division after defeating an unranked opponent.

However, Grant Dawson (20-1-1 MMA, 8-0-1 UFC) proved a big winner following his result in the night’s co-main event. After a convincing decision win over the dangerous Damir Ismagulov (24-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC), the 29-year-old American Top Team product was rewarded with a five-position move in the promotion’s lightweight rankings and now sits at No. 10 following the latest rankings update.

Meanwhile, Ismagulov dropped two positions and now sits at No. 14.
