After a razor-thin decision win over fellow welterweight contender Li Jingliang (19-8 MMA, 11-6 UFC), Daniel Rodriguez (17-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) is now officially in the top 15 of the UFC’s 170-pound division.
Rodriguez earned a controversial split-decision win over Jingliang at this past Saturday’s UFC 279 event in Las Vegas, and he was rewarded for the result with the No. 14 spot in the latest official welterweight rankings, with Jingliang sliding off the list with the setback.
The switch was the only change at 170 pounds.
