After registering the biggest victory of his career, Bryce Mitchell is now officially a top-10 featherweight in the UFC.

Mitchell (15-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) scored a dominant decision win over Brazilian veteran Edson Barboza (22-11 MMA, 16-11 UFC) at this past weekend’s UFC 272 and was rewarded for the result in the latest edition of the UFC’s official rankings, moving up two spots to his current No. 9 position. The undefeated “Thug Nasty” now sets himself up for a marquee matchup in his next outing.

Meanwhile, with the setback, Barboza drops 1 spot and is now sitting at No. 11. The striking specialist is now mired in a two-fight skid but remains a relevant name after spending the last 11 years fighting the best in the sport.
