UFC on Fox promos

FOX recently released a promo for UFC on FOX that underwhelmed many fans (see at bottom).

Just a day later, they sunk the choke (see above).

There are only two ways to kill a man. Stop his heart or stop his lungs. Everything else is a means to that end. The video above explicity strikes straight at the heart of boxing, Prizefighting, once the sole professional sport on this planet, has nearly destroyed itself. It currently hangs on only two threads – the Hispanic market, and the notion that boxing contains “The baddest man on the planet.”

In just 30 seconds, through iconography and the person of Cain Velasquez, Fox aims for the hispanic market, but with broad mainstream appeal as well, and then they spells it out – The Baddest Man on the Planet.

MMA, with Jon Jones at its head, is about to enter the next level.
