Dana White and headliners Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos just held a conference call to promote the debut UFC on FOX event Nov 12. The UFC on FOX doesn’t fully begin until 2012, the heavyweight title fight is more of a teaser, and will be only fight shown.

The entire ten bout undercard streams on Facebook and FOX.com, for free.

Fuel TV will air the weigh-ins live at 4 p.m. pacific time.

There’s gonna be a lot of breaking down the fighter, features going backstage. The first time we’ve ever done this, an interview with the guys before they come out. It’s a work in progress … We’ve been working hard on figuring this thing out. The major changes to our production won’t start until January.

The heavyweight championship fight is going to be the only fight that’s aired on FOX, even if it’s only 10 seconds.

We’re gonna keep doing pay-per-view, but the way we look at it, I became a big boxing fan growing up from ABC’s wide world of sports. Once that pay-per-view model came out, boxing put all their big fights on pay-per-view. Our goal has always been to bring big free fights back to television and we’re looking at it as, we’re gonna take a hit on the pay-per-view side, but we’re looking long term.

We made this fight the first fight on free TV for a reason. They’re both aggressive and I know for a fact, that’s why I made this fight. It’s going to be an awesome fight.

Mixed martial arts, kids are growing up taking it and it’s spreading all over the world. There’s literally not a country on the map that we couldn’t get a fighter from. I made the announcement last week about The Ultimate Fighter Brazil and the amount of talent that they’ll bring to us is ridiculous. To get all these countries rolling at the same time and have a winner and do a world cup where each country’s champion faces off against each other. That’s my dream.

Like I said when we announced this deal, there’s so many milestones that we’ve had over the last 10 years. People that have been following this sport since day one, no one knows as hard as I do how hard it was to take this sport off the ground. To see the World Series and FOX NFL, to see commercials airing during that is the proudest moment in the business for me.
