All fighters weigh in for UFC on FOX 22, ceremonials at 7:00 p.m.

UFC on FOX 22 will be held on December 17, 2016 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The main card is broadcast on big FOX, while the late prelims are broadcast on FOX Sports 1, and the early prelims stream on UFC Fight Pass.

The official weigh-ins take place on Friday at Noon ET (9:00 a.m. local time). The ceremonial, public weigh-ins and faceoff takes place later on Friday, at 7:00 p.m. ET, and streams live on The UnderGround below, courtesy of the UFC.

Fighters used to weigh-in in the early evening. Unfortunately, the body does not always rehydrate within 24 hours, leaving the brain more susceptible to injury. Many fighters took IVs in an attempt to rehydrate sufficiently. However, when the UFC selected the US Anti-Doping Agency as their independent drug testing body, the use of IVs was prohibited, as it can mask the use of PEDs. In response, the UFC has instituted a new, safer procedure, wherein fighters are given a two-hour window in which to weigh in, on the morning of the day before the fight.

Highlights of Saturday’s event include #7 ranked UFC women’s strawweight Paige VanZant vs. # 11 ranked Michelle ‘Karate Hottie’ Waterson, Mickey Gall lookin’ for a fight with Sage Northcutt and the final fight of ‘The California Kid,’ Urijah Faber.

PVZ made weight, but only … just … barely.
