This Saturday, Movember 13, 85lbs contenders Nate ‘The Great’ Marquardt and Yushin Okami fight in Oberhausen, Germany with the winner getting a title shot at the winner of the upcoming Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort title clash, targetted to take place in early 2011. UFC VP of International Development Marshall Zelaznik recently said: Marquardt v Okami is one of the most pivotal 185lbs division fights of the year. You’vegot two outstanding middleweights – both of whom think they deserve a title shot – going at it for the right to fight for the belt.” Below other UFC Middleweight contenders offer their picks.

Michael Bisping, UFC Middleweight Contender: OKAMI

I think Okami will take him down, hold him there, beat him up a little and basically do more damage.”

Wanderlei Silva, UFC Middleweight Contender, former PRIDE Middleweight Champion, MARQUARDT

“(Marquardt) has good hands and I think this is going to be the difference.

Alan Belcher, UFC Middleweight Contender, MARQUARDT

My pick is Marquardt; however, I wouldn’t mind seeing Okami take the win so we could set up a rematch with him and me for my comeback fight.

Tom Lawlor, UFC Middleweight Contender, MARQUARDT

“Both men will be able to control the fight at different times in all realms, with Marquardt winning by Split Decision despite being taken down each round.

Kyle Noke, UFC Middleweight, MARQUARDT

Easy – Nate! He’s one of my training partners … I feel a little sorry for Okami.

Alessio Sakara, UFC Middleweight, MARQUARDT

I think maybe Nate will pull out the W.

Kendall Grove, UFC Middleweight, MARQUARDT

At this level and with a title shot on the line, both of them have to go after it … I think Nate will finish it in the third round.
