UFC HOF to induct 5 new members on July 10
Sunday, July 10 at noon local time will feature a UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony for five new members, as part of the UFC Fan Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The UFC is planning an extraordinary week of mixed martial arts around UFC 200.
Thursday, July 7 will feature UFC Fight Night 90, headlined by UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos vs. Eddie Alvarez. Friday, July 8 will feature the TUF 23 Finale, with women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her title vs. Claudia Gadelha. Saturday, July 9 will feature UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier vs. interim champion Jon Jones, and Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight title.
And then Sunday, July 10 at noon local time will feature a UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony for five new members, as part of the UFC Fan Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
There will be one person, or persons, inducted into four categories.
Pioneer Era: Retired fighters who started before November 17, 2000?.
Modern Era: Turned pro after November 17, 2000?.
Contributors Wing: Non fighters. Charles “Mask” Lewis and Jeff Blatnick are the inductees to date.
Fight Wing: Legendary fights prior to July 10, 2011.

Legendary fights: Maurice Smith vs. Coleman (1997), Frank Shamrock vs. Ortiz (1999), Sakuraba vs. Royce Gracie (2000), Randy Couture vs. Pedro Rizzo (2001), Don Frye vs. YoshihiroTakayama (2002), Diego Sanchez vs. Clay Guida (2009) and Leonard Garcia vs. Chan Sung Jung (2010).
