LAS VEGAS – UFC Fight Pass, the world’s leading streaming service for combat sports, today announced the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 3, a submission-only Brazilian jiu-jitsu competition that will be headlined by grappling superstar Gordan Ryan, will simulcast on UFC Fight Pass and in virtual reality exclusively in the Xtadium Application, an immersive social experience app available on the Meta Quest 2 headset. 

The UFC Fight Pass Invitational 3 will stream live from UFC Apex in Las Vegas today, Thursday, December 15, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

“King” Gordon Ryan is back on UFC Fight Pass taking on Nicky Rodriguez in the main event following a one-night tournament rivaled by no other organization.

Joining Ryan and Rodriguez on the card is Brazilian jiu-jitsu staple Richie Martinez, Haisam Rida, Andy Valera, Mason Fowler, viral teenage star Pat Shahgoli, and others to battle it out for $25,000 and a shot at the “King” at a future Fight Pass Invitational. The event also features special singles matches, including former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate against Bia Mesquita and UFC Fight Pass Invitational 2 standout Dan Mansiou versus Ricardo Evangelista.

This event is the third iteration of the UFC Fight Pass Invitational, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament created and produced by UFC Fight Pass. The first two events were team vs. team-style format. 

The UFC Fight Pass InvitationalL 3 is the first iteration to be streamed live in a 360-degree virtual reality experience. Fans will enter an immersive environment where they can enjoy unprecedented VR views of all the thrilling action. Beginning on Saturday, December 17, fans can watch the event on demand through the Horizon Worlds app. 

Fans can download both the Xtadium Application and the Meta Horizon Worlds app for free in the Meta Quest store.
