UFC Fight Night 220 took place at the UFC Apex. The card streamed in its entirety on ESPN+.
In the main event, top-ranked light heavyweights Nikita Krylov (29-9 MMA, 10-7 UFC) and Ryan Spann (21-7 MMA, 7-2 UFC) were scheduled to clash to determine who would be able to take a step forward in the 205-pound division. However, as the night’s main card began, UFC officials revealed Krylov had fallen ill and was forced to withdraw, leaving Brendan Allen (21-5 MMA, 9-2 UFC) and Andre Muniz (23-5 MMA, 5-1 UFC) as the new headliners.
