LAS VEGAS – MMA Underground was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC Fight Night 217 fighter weigh-ins, where all but one fighter made weight without issue.
The weigh-ins took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The same venue hosts Saturday’s card, which streams on ESPN+.
Among those weighing in were the night’s headliners, middleweight contenders Sean Strickland (25-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC) and Nassourdine Imavov (12-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC), who meet in a light heavyweight contest in a bout that was arranged on short notice. Strickland registered 204 pounds, while Imavov came in immediately following and was just 194 pounds, marking a 10-pound difference.
One matchup was canceled during the ceremony, as Sijara Eubanks (7-7 MMA, 5-5 UFC) was not able to make it to the scales, and her bout with Priscila Cachoeira (12-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) was scratched, with UFC officials citing “weight management issues.”
