LAS VEGAS – MMA Underground was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC Fight Night 211 fighter weigh-ins, where every fighter that hit the scale made weight, though one fight was scrapped at the start of the ceremony.
The weigh-ins took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The same venue hosts Saturday’s card, which streams on ESPN+.
Among those weighing in were the night’s headliners, No. 5-ranked strawweight Mackenzie Dern (12-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) and No. 6-ranked Yan Xiaonan (15-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who each made weight without issue.
However, UFC officials announced that Jessica Penne (14-6 MMA, 3-4 UFC) fell ill and was pulled from the card, leaving Tabatha Ricci (7-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) without an opponent, and the bout was scrapped.
