'UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2' results: Israel Adesanya knocks out Alex Pereira to reclaim middleweight title

MIAMI – MMA Underground was on scene and reporting live from Saturday’s UFC 287 event, and you can get full results below.

“UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2” took place at Kaseya Center. The evening’s main card streamed live on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN, ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.

In the night’s main event, reigning middleweight champion Alex Pereira (7-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) faced former titleholder and the man he beat to take the belt, Israel Adesanya (24-2 MMA, 13-2 UFC).

Meanwhile, the night’s co-feature was a key welterweight matchup between Gilbert Burns (22-5 MMA, 15-5 UFC) and Jorge Masvidal (35-17 MMA, 12-10 UFC).

A planned heavyweight matchup between Chase Sherman (16-11 MMA, 4-10 UFC) and Karl Williams (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was canceled moments prior to the start of the card. UFC officials cited a Sherman injury as the reason for the late change.
