SALT LAKE CITY – MMA Underground was on scene and reporting live from Saturday’s UFC 278 event.

UFC 278 took place Vivint Arena. The main card streamed live on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ABC, ESPN and ESPN+

The night’s main event featured now-former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman (20-2 MMA, 15-1 UFC) facing Leon Edwards (20-3 MMA, 12-2 UFC) in a rematch seven years in the making.

Meanwhile, the co-main event featured an increasingly tense grudge match between middleweight contender Paulo Costa (14-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) and former UFC and Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold (16-6 MMA, 6-5 UFC).
