UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 official trailer: Tame Your Demons was unusually open about Jon Jones issues in his personal life.
Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones 2 is scheduled to take place at UFC 214 on July 29, 2017 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. This will be the fifth time the UFC attempted to make the fight. Jones withdrew from the first scheduled fight in 2014, due to a knee injury. In 2015 the pair fought, with Jones successfully defending his belt. In 2016 it was Cormier who withdrew with a leg injury. And there was the fiasco at UFC 200.
The official promo for the event, which aired during UFC 213, was refreshingly honest. In a time when sports leagues try to hide their negative sides, the UFC put Jones’ problems front and center. The UFC calls itself, “As real as it gets.” This promo lives up to that.
“I’m sick of being that guy,” says Jones. “I ready to get out of my own way.”
