UFC 208 ceremonial fighter weigh-ins start today at 6:00 p.m. local ET. The official weigh-ins will start at approximately 9:00 a.m. ET and will stream live below, courtesy of MMAjunkie.
The main card is broadcast on pay per view, with the late prelims are broadcast on FOX Sport1, and the early prelims stream on UFC Fight Pass.
Fighters used to weigh-in in the early evening. Unfortunately, the body does not always rehydrate within 24 hours, leaving the brain more susceptible to injury. Many fighters took IVs in an attempt to rehydrate sufficiently. However, when the UFC selected the US Anti-Doping Agency as their independent drug testing body, the use of IVs was prohibited, as it can mask the use of PEDs. In response, the UFC has instituted a new, safer procedure, wherein fighters are given a two-hour window in which to weigh in, on the morning of the day before the fight.
UFC 208: Holm vs. de Randamie takes place on February 11, 2017, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
