UFC 189 was one of the greatest nights in the history of mixed martial arts. But we most of us saw it from the front – as asses in seats. The UFC has released a new video that highlights UFC 189 from the back – The Thrill and The Agony.

When we saw Robbie Lawler’s actually split lip, we thought “OH $!^” when UFC president Dana White saw it he said to Lawler “Oh Jesus, don’t talk!”

The most touching moment may have come as White offered positive words to a disconsolate Brad Pickett, who had just lost to the now 20-0 Thomas Almeida.

You almost had that fight, said White. That kid’s undefeated. I have been talking about that kid for two f—ing weeks. You almost stopped the show. Don’t be discouraged. That was incredible.

The night was indeed incredible.
