UFC 167 second-best gate of all-time

Today the Nevada State Athletic commission e-mailed the full gate and attendance information for UFC 167 to mixedmartialarts.com.

Georges St-Pierre has been the PPV king, and those numbers aren’t available yet, but he is also now pretty apparent he is also a big live audience draw, even in Vegas. St-Pierre has always been a huge live draw in Montreal or Toronto, but this was the first time he had fought out of Canada in three years.

The live gate generated revenue of $5,759,350, which was 13,621 sold tickets, 57 tickets unsold, and 1,235 comped tickets. 

This would make UFC 167 second on the all-time gate revenue list.* The only event to perform better at the box office was UFC 148 which featured a rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen and generated revenue of $6,901,655.
