The entire disclosed UFC 141 payroll was $1,594,714.28, with Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem taking almost exactly half the amount, on the official fighter payroll.

Alistair Overeem: $385,714.28 (includes $121,428.57 win bonus)

beat Brock Lesnar: $400,000

According to ESPN, Overeem is also in line to receive a $2 bonus per pay-per-view purchase, for all revenues received by UFC-Zuffa for telecast of the Lesnar fight in the United States, Canada or over the internet in excess of $500,000.

The figures above do not represent an accurate assessment of each fighter’s income from the fight. Aside from the cost fo training, fighters bear significant costs including a percentage to management, a percentage to the trainer, insurance, licenses, and taxes. On the income side, sponsorship money can be a substantial portion, or even exceed the purse from the fight. Further, the UFC often gives out undisclosed “locker room” bonuses for exceptional performance. And lastly, elite level fighters can negotiate a portion of the PPV revenue, which can substantially exceed the disclosed payout.
