The UFC held a pre-fight press conference today at 1:00 pm (ET) featuring Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz, Vitor Belfort and Yoshihiro Akiyama, and UFC President Dana White.

Rashad Evans: Fighting a legend like Tito Ortiz was hard the first time. Now I’m one of the bigger guys in the organization now and I’m very confident.
Tito Ortiz: Having Dana have my back and the UFC have my back and be where I want to be has made me a different person mentally, physically an emotionally. My confident is through the roof.
Vitor Belfort: I was a part of the past, I’m a part of the present and I’ll make sure to be a part of the future. I feel like I’ve evolved so much. The future belongs to Dana White and Joe Silva.
Dana White: When you look at the old guard, the only two that are still around are Tito and Matt Hughes. I guess Vitor’s here too but I just dont’ think of him as old as Tito.
Dana White: Ochocinco talks so much shit it’s unbelievable. I don’t know if he just wants more followers or if he’s really that nuts.
Tito Ortiz: I give props to Dana for putting us on the map to where guys from the NFL are trying to make their name off of us.
Dana White: With the stuff that Tito and I have been through, he’s been booed a lot. Going into that fight, it’s hard not to feel happy for him.
Rashad Evans: Sometimes in order to get to the next level, you have to do what other people are not doing. That’s what I’ve been doing the last four to five months. I’m living like a fighter. I’m waking up every day whether I have a fight or not and I’m training. Living the life of a fighter is something new to me.
Dana White: Rashad Evans, if he wins on Saturday night, he will be the next guy to fight for the title. If Tito should win on Saturday night, he’s probably got one or two more guys first. If he goes in there and blasts Rashad on Saturday night like he did to Ryan Bader, it would be pretty tough not to say he’s one of the best in the world.
